Transfers from El Calafate to Port of Soledad and return

To arrive at Puerto La Soledad, Punta Bandera, 45 km from El Calafate, and embark on the Gourmet Glaciers Experience Navigation, you can book the optional transfer service with our buses.

If you do not wish to take the bus to the port provided by Marpatag Cruises, you may request direct boarding at the port. The total duration of the port-to-port excursion is 8 hours. The duration of the excursion with transfer is approximately 11 hours.

When booking a bus service with us, please consider the following:

Hotel searches begin at 7:15 a.m., with a possible delay of up to 45 minutes.
We arrived at the port at 8:45 a.m. and set sail at 9:00 a.m.
Disembarkation back to Puerto La Soledad: 5:00 p.m. Return to Calafate and return to the hotel by bus starting at 6:00 p.m.
In the case of hiring the additional landing in Moreno (to make the walkways) The return to the hotels is 7:00 p.m.

Considerations

If you book the bus service with Marpatag Cruises, it’s important to note that, due to the large number of hotels and their distance, picking up passengers takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Please note that transfers are only provided to/from accommodations or hotels in El Calafate that have 24-hour reception. Otherwise, pick-up will not be provided at rental properties or private apartments. Therefore, to board the bus, passengers must go to the Marpatag Cruises Central Office located on Av. From Libertador 1319, El Calafate, to take the bus at 7:00 a.m.

Glaciares Gourmet operates year-round with daily service from September 1st to April 30th, and from May 1st to August 31st, generally every other day (check during these times of the year for any changes).
